Meet Your Coach: Mallak Al Salmi
Landscape Designer | Educator | Urban Thinker
Mallak Al-Salmi is a passionate and accomplished Landscape Architecture graduate from Washington State University, with international training and practical experience in urban design, ecological research, and community-based projects. Her work bridges the gap between environmental systems and human-centered design, reflecting her belief that landscape architecture is not about beautifying spaces—but transforming them.
Throughout her journey, Mallak has collaborated with leading firms like Sasaki (Boston) and Perkins Eastman (Seattle), contributing to major planning and design projects including the Greater Salalah Structure Plan. She also worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at WSU, and was selected as a 2023 LAF Olmsted Scholar Finalist, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the field of landscape architecture.
